With total yardage at 3460 from the blue tees, it presents a challenge for even the finest player, while shorter yardage from the white and the ladies' tees makes the course a pleasurable golfing experience for all who play and enjoy the game. Set against a backdrop of the noble Shawangunk Mountains, with its fifth fairway bordering the Wallkill River, the New Paltz Golf Course is as scenic as it is playable.

Professional Larry Furey carries a fine selection of clubs and golfing accessories in his shop. Larry also gives private lessons at a half hour or a full hour; they are reasonably priced, and there is no finer teacher of the game in the Hudson Valley.
